The faster you can get it into a powerless state, the better. If you don't use Java applications on your local machine as well, you should just uninstall Java in its entirety. The only one with significant usage is systemidle. Wait another 30 seconds and plug the router back in.
Turn off all but the essential ones. Sometimes you may find two or more processes hogging the CPU. Restart the computer and see if this helps. Several functions may not work. You definitely should get at least 1 gig of RAM.
