Hope this is a real fix. one other thing you can try is flip the switch on the back of the power supply to off for a few minutes, turn it back on and try again. If the LED is still flashing (it should not flash with all connectors removed), plug the power cable into a different power outlet that is known to be good. all while the Everquest sound indicator continues to bounce as if sound was coming out.

When I attempted to re-install either of the Intel drivers I got the same error messages as they had previously given. I might be able to figure it out from there. i am using windows xp destop... Have you tried different speakers on the same jack?
