Name the drive, and then click Apply to format it. It's rare, but sometimes you can get your unhappy Mac to start up successfully with a Safe Boot, and then restart it normally, and everything returns to hunky-doriness. It may be that one of the below solutions is necessary to fix your problem but if you haven't been diligent in your troubleshooting up to this point, you can't know I finally had to take my desk top in and they were able to reboot it easily and prepared a short cut for installing boot camp.
