What worked for me was go to the screen where you get to safe mode (so rapidly tap f8 on startup). Mine was on 'compatibility'. After a couple of more reboots, it now just freezes a few seconds after start-up. When I clean my bios, AHCI config was lost, to solve I just change from IDE to AHCI and it worked again! I rebooted, and successfully rebooted into Windows. Windows 7 Safe Mode Not Working Then we took out the disk and connected it to a PC, the SO recognized it but the file system shows on windows 7 as RAW, and the data was inaccesible So thank you Limbix for the post.

Officially you're only supposed to install it using Microsofts deployment tools, but it's just a normal windows disk and you can use it normally. I was unable to close any programs or open any. However, after choosing to boot off of CDROM with this inserted, there is a gray loading bar with "Windows is loading files...," but after this completes, the system gets hung up Had me all worried and stuff.
