I think the only corrupt files thay are hanging everything up are the MUI files that are identical to winload.exe ane winloadresume.exe only with a MUI extension on the end. http://2theprinter.com/sfc-scannow/sfc-scannow-cannot-fix.php Were you able to get it to work? I have a feeling this is something to do with the winload.exe and the bootloader files. Thanks!

SFC does not check for corruption, but for agreement that two files are identical. It worked for me ...!!! LOL - when it first started, the prompt said it would take 3 days! http://2theprinter.com/sfc-scannow/scannow-needs-cd.php You can copy and paste in the command window.

I restarted my computer and I still have the same problem with the updates. Windows Updates and Activation Windows 10 fails to update to version 1511 (10586), always gets stuckI have been trying for a full week now, to no avail. restarted and got a red screen telling me to wait than the home screen came up and i just looked at the windows settings and it says cumulative update for windows http://2theprinter.com/sfc-scannow/scannow-sfc.php Later I found out that I am having trouble downloading the EXE.

Up to 30th attempt now. Just getting sick of the whole thing. If you don't have a problem why should you complain. I successfully turned off auto update.
