thanks! The F8 key might need to be pressed twice, once for the operating system selection list, and once more to switch to the advanced options menu. I used Nero to burn, on the slowest speed setting. To test whether the video driver is the cause, uninstall it entirely and hope that Windows installs a working, if older driver.
